Leather
The Gauls mastered the dry skin tanning or in big tanks where skins underwent many baths and cleanings. They also mastered fur processing. The use of leather was very common, in particular in saddlery and for harnessing draft animals, but also in sail making for the Veneti ships in Armorica quoted by Caesar.
Leather was also used for making clogs, strappy sandals or wooden soles making. They were worn indifferently by men and women.
