Is the Health Pass necessary to access the park ?

Access to the Gallic Village is subject to possession of a “Pass Sanitaire” (Health Pass) for visitors aged 12 and 2 months over.

What is the health protocol to follow during my visit?

- Wearing a mask is obligatory (from 11 years old) dans tout le parc, aussi bien dans les espaces extérieurs que dans les espaces intérieurs.
- We will ask you to keep a 1 meter distance with other visitors on the parking lot, the park areas, the site’s entry, the village’s paths, the movie projection room, the souvenirs shop and the whole Gallic Village.
- At your disposal, we put 3 hand sanitizer distributors divided in the park added to the soap to wash your hands in the toilets, and the 2 equipped pic-nic areas.
- We would prefer you to pay with contactless payment by card (until 50 €) or to use your own pen if you want to pay with a cheque.
- We invite you to respect all the marks on the ground in the concerned areas and the directions for your visit (walk on the right side of the paths).
- Our staff will guide you and point out all the details with you.

What health measures have been put in place at the Gallic village

- Our co-workers are equipped with masks or visors.
- Plexiglas separations are placed at the shop and the ticket office.
- Masks are on sale in our shop.
- All common areas and spaces are cleaned frequently by our staff.N
- Cards devices are cleaned after every client.
- Lended smartphones are cleaned after every use.
- Our space for relaxation and our picnic areas were reorganized to welcome you safely and respect the distance between people.
- Our artisans make their demonstrations at 1,5 meters distance with the public.

Where is the Gallic Village located?

The Gallic Village is located in the municipality of Rieux Volvestre, 50 km from Toulouse.
Please refer to the Getting to the Gallic Village section when planning your journey. Direct access via the A64 motorway, exit 25.

Are pets allowed in the park?

Dogs on a lead are allowed in the park.


What are the Park's opening hours?

Can we leave the park during the day and come back later?

To allow you to leave the park during the day, our teams will provide you with a wristband that will enable you to re-enter later on the same day.


Can I enter the park with a rucksack?

Rucksacks are allowed inside the park.
For your safety, we may perform bag inspections inside the park. Large and bulky bags should be avoided and cool boxes are prohibited. Please leave them in your vehicle. You can exit and return to the park at any time during the day. Sharp items, glasses and glass bottles, and alcoholic drinks are prohibited. Thank you for your understanding.


Can a minor enter the park alone?

Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult or will be denied entry to the site. Minors will also be denied exit from the site if they are not accompanied by a responsible adult.

Access to the Village

Some paths in the Village have steep slopes and are therefore not recommended for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility.
It is easy to travel along the main street, however access to some of the craftspeople's houses may be difficult, as may access to the harbour on the Garonne riverbank.
The upper part of the village, where the bronzesmith, sanctuary, relics and sacred spring are located, is difficult to access due to the steep slopes and bumps.


Access to the souvenir shop and restaurant

The shop, restaurant and terrace are accessible to people with disabilities.


Toilets

Toilets are available on site: one toilet block in the picnic area at the entrance near the car park, and one toilet block inside the village near the store and restaurant. They are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
There is a third sanitation point with dry toilets in the "woodland" picnic area. These toilets are not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Can we eat lunch at the Gallic Village?

The Gallic Village has 1 snack bar open during High Season (Blue period)
In the rest of the year, you can find light refreshments at a vending machine selling snacks and cold drinks, along with items on sale at the shop (artisanal biscuits, cold drinks, ice creams, etc.).


Are picnics allowed in the park?

Picnics are prohibited inside the village.
There is a dedicated picnic area near the car park.
- An area with seating for 100 is available at the site entrance next to the visitor car park, with a toilet, covered area and accessible toilets for people with reduced mobility.
- A "Woodland" area with seating for 220, open in fine weather and equipped with dry toilets (not accessible to people with reduced mobility)

Are there benches to rest on?

There are benches dotted around the park's 9 hectares. You can find them on the paths and lawns.


Where can I heat up a baby bottle?

If you want to heat up a baby bottle, a microwave is available in the projection room.


Is the park accessible to pushchairs?

Yes, providing you are physically fit. Some paths in the Village are steep, with a few bumps. A baby carrier is preferable due to the topography of the terrain. There are no pushchairs for hire at the park.

How can I organise my visit to the park?

As soon as you enter the park, you will be given a visitor map. You will need it to find out the activity times and information for the day.

When are the village craftspeople present?

The village craftspeople are present in Low Season (orange period), High Season (blue period) and during Events (purple period)

What are Solo Visits (green period)?

How long does the visit take?

The time it will take varies depending on the period:
For a visit in Low Season (orange period): allow between 2 and 3h minimum
For a visit in Inter Season (green period): allow 2h minimum
For a visit in High Season (blue period): allow between 4 and 5h minimum

The Gallic Village in wet weather

All the activities offered to visitors are designed to be enjoyed whatever the weather. All our activities therefore take place even when it rains. There are also many covered areas where you can shelter from bad weather or the heat.
Under exceptional circumstances, management may need to delay, modify, cancel or close the activities, shop or restaurant area without prior notice.


The Gallic Village in very hot weather

When the temperature rises, the usual precautions must be taken but our century-old forest and the coolness of the nearby river offer a good deal of protection from the heat. Our visitors can also enjoy the fresh mist provided by the misting systems on the snack bar terrace in High Season, the shaded areas and the cool temperature in our restaurant room and projection room.

What payment methods are accepted at the Gallic Village?

Online ticket shop

Credit cards: Carte Bleue (debit card), Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard.
All transactions are secure. For some banks, a security code may be required to validate the transaction.

Group bookings

A down payment of 30% is payable at the time of ordering. This can be made by cheque or credit card: Visa debit cards, Eurocard Mastercard cards

On site at the park

Cash in euros; French bank cheques; Visa debit cards; Eurocard Mastercard cards; ANCV Chèques Vacances vouchers, Chèque Culture UP vouchers (excluding snacks)


Is my payment secure when booking online?

The data exchanged with our site are secure. In addition, you should also see a small padlock sign displayed in your browser.

Can I use my meal vouchers to pay at the snack bar?

Meal vouchers are not accepted at the park.

Is there a car park at the park? Is there a charge for parking? Is it monitored?

The Gallic village has a free car park. It is not monitored or attended.
There are spaces reserved for people with disabilities and buses.


I am coming by motorhome, can I stay overnight in the car park?

No, the car park is only accessible during park opening hours. Overnight parking is strictly prohibited. There is a motorhome area available near the Rieux-Volvestre campsite: Find out more


Disabled parking

People with reduced mobility are allowed to use the "no entry" road and can be dropped off in front of the village's fortified gates. The same thing is allowed when leaving at the end of the visit. The vehicle must be parked in the visitor car park, where there are specially reserved spaces.

I ordered my ticket online and haven't received it

When your online purchase is complete, you receive an e-mail containing the ticket(s) to print. If you can't see it in your inbox, check to make sure it hasn't gone into your junk mail folder. If this is not the case, please contact us here


How do I book?

To book your admission ticket, please refer to the Book section, choose the date of your visit and follow the instructions.

I have a discount card, can I book online?

Special rates (large families, people with disabilities, students, teachers, jobseekers) are not applicable online. To benefit from them, just show valid proof of status at the tills in the park.


Is there a discount for large families?

Yes, there is a discount on admission tickets in Low Season and/or High Season. Discount applicable to persons shown on the Familles Nombreuses card (Livret de Famille record book accepted), to be shown at the tills in the Park on the day of your visit, valid for one ticket type and one visit date (not applicable to online bookings).
Not combinable with promotional offers, not retroactive, and not applicable to the Family Pass or group tickets.
